About the Photographers

Brianna Roberts

Brianna has been taking images since 1992 when her grandpa offloaded all of his 35mm gear and cameras. Not having any manuals or direction, she didn't know how to 'properly' combine the various lenses, filters, cameras, and types of film. This sense of exploration, trial-by-error, and not having any boundaries for what is considered right or wrong follows her in her current work where she uses her technical knowledge to explore and then 'break' said technology. She is equally at home with an expensive large-format view-camera as with a plastic Holga, and with noise-free digital formats as she is with film-based prints that have their grain enhanced by alternative processing. She always tries to tell a story, especially if it is a story that can't be put into words.

Todd Roberts

Todd has been photographing since 1997, starting with 35mm film before switching to medium format and digital photography in pursuit of higher image quality. He strives to catpure beauty in its many forms, from serene landscapes to geometric abstracts. His images often feature saturated colors and high contrast, and bounce emotionally between serenity and starkness.
